Georgians have been given a rare opportunity – the ability to decide how to spend income tax dollars that they would otherwise pay to the government. Under a 2008 Georgia law, Georgia taxpayers can redirect a portion of taxes they already pay to the state to be used at Brandon Hall School for scholarships. Your GOAL contribution will allow you a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your Georgia income tax return, and a charitable donation on your federal return, if you itemize deductions. From an Alumni Parent:
“I am writing to let you all know how thankful I am for my daughter receiving the GOAL scholarship from Brandon Hall. This scholarship changed her journey and afforded her so many possibilities. My daughter transferred from a public school in 10th grade. I can still remember how much it meant to her that all of her teachers cared about each individual student. Thanks to GOAL contributors to Brandon Hall School, my daughter received a wonderful BHS education that has left her feeling very prepared as she studies at a prestigious liberal arts college for women. Thank you for making her dreams come true.”
